Does a spider, when it dies, cry and cry and cry for all it's
lost,
or does it wrinkle up its compound eyes,
and chuckle over captured flies,
and frightened children?
Does a spider reminisce on eaten lovers,
and a stolen kiss?
Or rather does it miss,
The crunching legs of cold, dismembered insects?
Does a spider on a spiral thread have spiral dreams?
Or does it fear such terrifying things
as spiteful beaks and angry pounding wings.
Does a spider in the bath try and try and try to get away?
Or rather does it play
a fun-packed game of out the window
and up the outside drain?
