Jon Hunwick's model of Boris inspired me to produce a variety
of forms including a poem
and a computer manufactured model. The spider was the first test
case of a new set of algorithms for machining arbitrary shapes
which I developed as part of my Ph.D. It is now used as the company
logo of Delcam Systems
Ltd. which has a turntable movie of the sculptural Boris.
